Step 1: Get SyncMate Free Edition
First of all, please, download and install SyncMate Free Edition on your Mac.
Step 2: Connect your Macs
Launch SyncMate and establish connection between your Macs via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Let's consider one Mac to be your "main" Mac, where you add connections to other Macs, other Macs become "secondary" ones.

Step 3: What would you like to sync?
With free SyncMate you can sync your Contacts and Calendar entries among the Macs. To do that, check the boxes of the plugins that will be synced.

Step 4: Choose sync direction
SyncMate can sync data among your Macs in three directions - Mac to another Mac (first Mac's data will be added to the existing entries on another Mac), another Mac to Mac (another Mac's data will be added to the existing first Mac's entries) and bi-directional - data will be mutually updated on both Macs.
Step 5: Sync NOW!
That's almost all! :) All you need to do now is click "Sync now" on the "main" Mac and your data will become up-to-date on both devices!
Step 6: SyncMate Free vs SyncMate Expert
SyncMate Free allows syncing Address Books and Calendars between your Macs. SyncMate Expert offers additional features.
With Expert Edition you can sync ToDo's, Safari bookmarks, Mail notes and Entourage notes, iTunes&Video, iPhoto (images only) and Folders (the latter can be synced even in real time). Expert Edition also offers AutoSync.
