Step 4: Choose sync direction
SyncMate offers synchronization of Mac and iOS device in three directions - Mac to device (Mac data will be added to the existing entries on your iOS device), device to Mac (iOS device data will be added to the existing Mac entries) and bi-directional - data will be mutually updated on both sides.
Contacts, calendars, Safari bookmarks, Entourage and Mail notes (OS X 10.7 or earlier), Stickies and folders can be synced in three directions. iTunes & Video* and iPhoto* can be synced in one direction only (iOS device to Mac).
Step 5. Just sync!
We're almost there! :) Now just click "Sync now" button to have your data updated on both sides.
Step 6. SyncMate Free vs SyncMate Expert
When using free SyncMate you can sync Contacts and Calendars in your iOS device and Mac.
With SyncMate Expert you can do even more. You can sync Safari bookmarks, Mail notes and Entourage notes, favorite music and videos*, photos*, Stickies, Folders and more. Moreover, you can mount your iOS device as additional Mac disk and browse its content on Mac (possible to mount only "user/media" folder on iOS device).
* There are few peculiarities of syncing iTunes&Video and iPhoto with iOS devices. Please study them carefully.
Step 7. Sync your Mac with even more devices!
Make all your devices work as a team! SyncMate can also sync your Mac with Nokia S40 phones, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile devices, other Macs and Windows PCs, Sony PSP, mounted storage devices, MTP devices, iPods Nano, Google, Dropbox, iCloud, Yahoo! accounts.
